I too have somehow realised this about Medium now. People tend to read only if you read them.

Recently, I took a break from writing for a couple of days, didn't read and engage as well and in return I could see many didn't read mine.

That's okay, I am fine. Will keep reading what resonates with me and Writing on what I want to.
